Dates for the TENSOLOGY Crane Rope Examiners course have been announced. The course, aimed at people involved in the selection, use, inspection and examination of steel wire ropes, will run throughout the year. There are two courses available; a full two day course for people either new to the industry or who are interested to increase their theoretical knowledge of wire ropes and a one day refresher course to build upon previous knowledge and to update on current standards and the latest techniques.
The courses are based upon the information contained within the crane rope standard BS ISO 4309:2017 Cranes - Wire ropes - Care and maintenance, inspection and discard and include up to date information, including the use of Magnetic Rope Testing (MRT) as a tool to assist with rope examination.
Both of these courses are LEEA Accredited and are delivered by David Hewitt who is one of the most knowledgeable and respected crane rope people in the world. Delegates will therefore benefit from comprehensive, up-to-date course content including the latest guidance from BS ISO 4309:2017 and Cranes - Wire ropes - Care and maintenance, inspection and discard, along with a lifetime of crane rope experience from David Hewitt.
