TENSOLOGY continue to invest in new technology and equipment in order to support existing customers and meet future market demand. The arrival of the latest set of INTROS Magnetic Rope Testing equipment continues the growth of the company in the highly specialised Wire Rope Services sector.
Wire Rope Services company TENSOLOGY have added to their capability for carrying out Magnetic Rope Testing (MRT) with the purchase of a new set of INTROS equipment. The latest set of equipment to arrive at TENSOLOGY is able to test ropes up to 64mm in diameter and compliments MRT equipment already in use by the company. The investment was made to allow TENSOLOGY to meet the increasing demand for Magnetic Rope Testing across safety critical industries and will be put to use immediately.
The equipment is capable of providing a real time view (RTV) of the condition of a rope whilst the rope is being tested. The RTV function is achieved either using the built-in screen on the hand-held data logger or via a laptop or tablet. The use of the hand-held data logger for RTV is particularly useful when testing ropes in difficult to access locations and minimises the number of components required to carry out the test. Another factor in the decision to purchase this particular model of equipment was its ability to operate in the harshest of environments. Many ropes are used in outdoor, industrial or coastal locations making the robust, weatherproof design an essential requirement.
This latest investment in equipment comes hot on the heels of the addition of three experienced Wire Rope Technicians to the TENSOLOGY team and cements the company’s place as one of leading providers of wire rope testing, inspection and installation services.
